The proposed extension to the Bristol Heart Institute to provide specialist facilities for Cardiovascular research received planning approval. Reference made to the existing BHI building and its urban context in the proposed design e.g., entrance; external materials and expression of the window openings, makes the building a good neighbour whilst providing the accommodation required by the brief.
